On Easter Sunday, a series of destructive blasts including suicide attacks took place in Sri Lanka. Around 8.45 am (local time) the first suicide explosion targeting St Anthony’s Church in Colombo took place. As the mass for Easter Sunday was in progress, other churches like St Anthony’s Church in Colombo, St Sebastian’s Church in the western coastal town of Negombo and Zion Church in the eastern town of Batticaloa were also targeted.
