Sultan Al-Anqari, Saudi Arabia’s consul general in Houston, Texas, received honorary US citizenship on Friday for his promotion of Saudi-US relations.
The mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, praised Al-Anqari’s tireless work during his tenure as consul general as he presented him with his certificate of citizenship.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Houston Municipal Council, the Houston-based consuls of several other countries, the heads of local Islamic centers and communities, several directors of hospitals and medical institutions, and by representatives of Saudi Arabian companies based in Houston.
