JEDDAH: Saudi and UN aid chiefs held talks in Yemen to discuss a range of relief projects throughout the world.
Adviser at the Royal Court and general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, met with UNICEF representative in Yemen, Sara Beysolow Nyanti.
During the meeting they reviewed KSRelief work in countries throughout the world, as well as projects for Yemeni citizens such as preventing malnutrition among children and mothers, providing vaccines, and a rehabilitation program for Yemeni children recruited by Houthi militias.
The UNICEF official thanked KSRelief for its “outstanding” humanitarian work and efforts to protect Yemeni children in various fields including health, nutrition and education.
Meanwhile, KSRelief has distributed 350 food baskets for displaced people in the Marib governorate of Yemen as part of ongoing food projects provided by the Kingdom’s relief arm for needy Yemenis.
