RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) held a reception for its staff to celebrate Eid Al-Adha in the presence of the aid agency's supervisor general, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah.

Al-Rabeeah congratulated the attendees on the occasion.

“We are gathered today with every year’s determination and commitment to giving and achieving,” he said.

“The center has become a beacon of the Kingdom’s bright image that has reached 44 countries through more than 1,000 projects,” Al-Rabeeah said, stressing the support provided by the leadership.

“We look forward for more achievements with a fresh start and strong determination to reach perfect levels of humanitarian work with your dedication and perseverance,” he said.

Over two decades, Saudi Arabia has spent $87 billion in humanitarian aid to 81 countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Al-Rabeeah said since 2014, more than 1,011 humanitarian aid programs worth $3.5 billion have benefitted 44 countries, primarily Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, Pakistan, Indonesia and Iraq.
