Saudi aid agency, WHO in cooperation talks

RIYADH: Saudi adviser at the Royal Court and general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, met on Monday with Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of health cooperation between KSRelief and WHO to support patients in countries throughout the world.
Al-Rabeeah also met with the chairman of the Yemeni Armed Forces’ Center for Strategic Studies, Brig. Gen. Ali Naji Obaid, and briefed him on KSRelief’s humanitarian activities carried out in cooperation with international and UN organizations in 44 countries, most notably Yemen.
The center aims to develop an effective process to respond to humanitarian crises quickly and effectively. It also focuses on increasing the impact of Kingdom’s aid and its sustainability through improved commissioning, monitoring and evaluation.
