RIYADH: During its participation in the World Police Games in Italy, the Kingdom’s Internal Security Forces team finished in second place, winning a silver medal for teams from 38 countries participating in the skeet shooting competitions and second place in individual competitions.

The team also won the bronze medal and the third place in the trap shooting competition.

The head of the Saudi Sports Federation for Internal Security Forces, Col. Sultan Al-Wadani, said: “This achievement is the result of the unlimited support received by the federation from Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, minister of interior, and the continuous follow-up of the director of Public Security, Gen. Khalid bin Qarar Al-Harbi for all activities of the federation.”

The global event aims to promote and encourage sports within all police forces across the world. The accompanying events allow for the exchange of professional experience between police officers. It also aims to create opportunities to further develop the friendly and professional relations between the various police organizations.
