RIYADH: The Saudi Project for Landmine Clearance (Masam) cleared 2,383 land mines in Yemen during the first week of April.
The organization — which is part of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center — cleared three anti-personnel mines, 470 anti-tank mines, 1,908 unexploded ordnance and two explosive devices. The mines were planted by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia in schools and homes. Many of the devices were hidden in civilian areas.
