ISLAMABAD: The president of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, met Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki at President House in Islamabad on Friday.
During the meeting, Alvi praised the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and noted that they were deep-rooted and derived from common religious and cultural values.
He commended the Kingdom’s pioneering role, under the leadership of King Salman, in enhancing security and regional and global stability, and praised the Kingdom’s special position among Muslim nations.
Alvi stressed that Pakistan gave great importance to its relationship with the Kingdom, and was keen to strengthen and develop this relationship and advance cooperation on all levels.
He expressed the appreciation of Pakistan’s government and people to the Kingdom for its positions that support Pakistan.
For his part, Al-Malki said: “The Kingdom’s leadership gives great importance to its relation with Pakistan, and is keen to support Pakistan and its people, and stand by it to be a successful and stable country.”
