On behalf of King Salman, Makkah Gov. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal led the washing of the Kaaba on Monday.
Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Deputy Makkah Gov. Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammed Salih Bentin, a number of ministers, members of the Islamic diplomatic corps, officials and citizens participated in the ceremonial washing of the holy structure, in which it is wiped with cloth soaked with a special mixture of Zamzam and rose water.
