JEDDAH: The folks at Biscotti Cookie Shop have taken it upon themselves to satisfy the sweet tooth of city dwellers, creating some of the tastiest treats to be found in Jeddah.
The store says that “Happiness is Homemade Sweets” and its Instagram page is filled with luscious and drool-worthy photos of ooey gooey glorious morsels. But they are even better in real life.
The most popular products are cookie shots — tiny bakes that can be scoffed in a few mouthfuls. They are filled with different sauces and have such a rich taste that the person eating them will need a moment to savor all the flavors.
My co-worker ordered Biscotti’s “Happiness Box” for the office when we were craving cookies. At first we were unconvinced that the itty bitty bakes could pack a punch, but we quickly realized that they were large-scale desserts made bite-sized.
We also tried their brownies and they were exceptionally rich and fudgy. Biscotti has other sweets and, while I haven’t tried them, I’m sure they will be added to my favorites’ list very soon.
